The latest Detroit Motor Show has shown us a range of performance vehicles and trucks like no other before. Because of this many have thought that this year was supposed to be the year when these types of vehicles will make their mark. But an interesting concept vehicle at the show might prove otherwise and show us at the future is not so one-sided after all.
To emphasis the word "future" as this is the name of the new concept vehicle by Buick, at least in French. The 2015 Buick Avenir Concept vehicle which was lately presented has perhaps stolen the show this year at Detroit. Its stellar design marks the new beginning for Buick which have not managed to present us with anything important from 2010 and 2011.
What many people have thought that was impossible has been proven as more than plausible by the Avenir concept car. the plug hybrid powertrain system enables great fuel economy for the car, while the four door coupe style has proven to be more than achievable now by Buick. Combine it with some pretty realistic design solutions and a power of 600 hp, we get a concept car which more than justifies its name, the future.

The exterior design is certainly one of its greatest assets and the immediate thing one notices. We might say that the 2015 Avenir holds a much progressive look, with every bit of it from front to back being carefully and beautifully sculptured.
What distinguishes the 2015 Buick Avenir from its predecessors is the perfection of design. The new Buick holds the similar characteristics of old Buick vehicles, but with large improvements of every bit of it.
So take all of the good things that you had in the design of a typical Buick car and improve them, now take all of the bad things and fix them. Not just fix them but make them better in the process of fixing them, and the end result is the design of the 2015 Buick Avenir Concept vehicle.
The design of the Avenir is characterized by having new LED trimmed down headlights, pronounced wheel arches, the portholes of a classic Buick and a boat-tail rear end styling.
Particularly interesting for the fans is that Buick is going to bring back the old red, silver and blue tri shield logo, so all of the nostalgic fans are pretty happy about that since the modern all black logo has been dropped.

Perhaps the interior of the new Buick Avenir is a bit of a stretch. This is perhaps the only part of the vehicle which will not transition to the production model. Although it seems completely doable and achievable, there are a lot of kinks to work out and this is something which may seem a little bit outlandish for the production line vehicle.
The four passenger seating configuration with the addition of the floating door handles are the most plausible things to be left for the production, while other parts will remain a part of the concept no doubt.
The car includes a "next-generation" Buick IntelliLink infotainment system, with a 12-inch touch screen display, and as many modern GM products also a OnStar 4G LTE with a WiFi hotspot.
People at the back will also have a chance to enjoy their rid as the car features two massive rear-seat entertainment screens for the people at the back to enjoy as well.
Engine – 2015 Buick Avenir Concept
What the concept Avenir vehicle holds under the hood is more than apparent that the production line model will hold as well. This is also one of the most plausible parts to make its crossover from concept to production.
A next generation V6 engine with direct fuel injection is hiding under the hood of the car. The engine is equipped with stop/start technology and GM's Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation system.
The engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, but that is all we have to tell you about the engine. There have been no other announcements and the power has not been officially set at.
The elusive numbers of 600 hp may seem a bit of a stretch, but we expect it to be not lighter than 400 hp.
Price of Buick Avenir Concept for 2015
Some will agree that the car is priceless, others say "Charge us what every you like, we'll pay it". These are just some of the commentary found on the net and are rightfully stated.
We do not have the exact numbers of the pricing of the vehicle and do not know when we will get them. But according to our estimation a figure around $60,000 is in order for the new 2016 Buick Avenir Concept.
